Naturopathic Process
A naturopathic health appointment
Your initial visit will include a consultation, detailed history, a general physical exam and specific naturopathic assessments. If it becomes necessary for a more complete analysis of your health status, you may be asked to have further laboratory tests through your medical doctor, or additional testing through our office lab facilities.
On your second visit, usually two weeks later, a detailed report of findings and your individualized treatment plan will be discussed. Also, any remaining portion of the physical exam will be completed on this visit. Treatment plans may include dietary changes, botanical/ herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, homeopathy, acupuncture/ Traditional Chinese Medicine and hydrotherapy.
Subsequent follow up visits are typically every 4 to 6 weeks. Your progress will be monitored and treatments will be modified accordingly. If you are receiving acupuncture as your primary treatment, visits will be more frequent, either once or twice weekly for approximately 6-10 sessions. As experience a new level of wellness, we suggest an office visit every three to four months for general disease prevention and health maintenance.
