DR. VIC AVRAMENKO
Joined the THM team in 2013
Dr. Avramenko earned an Honors Degree in Cellular and Microbiology from the University of Calgary. He graduated from the University of Alberta as an MD with Distinction and did his family medicine residency at Foothills Hospital. He has worked in Calgary, Chestermere, Rockyview and Drumheller, and has volunteered his time serving on several boards, working with the Boy Scouts, and was team doctor for the UFA Bisons Midget AAA hockey club. In his time away from the office, Dr. Avramenko enjoys golfing, traveling, working on his acreage and spending time with his family, including his grandchildren.

DR. ALEX CHAN
Joined the THM team in 2022
Throughout his medical training, his curiosity grew enormously in every area of medicine as he experienced it, which eventually drew him to the one discipline where all aspects of one’s health are managed together as a whole: family medicine. For years, Dr. Chan has been practicing as a locum physician at a number of clinics before joining the INLIV team in July 2022. In his off hours, Dr. Chan enjoys backyard grilling, snowboarding, spending time with his wife and two young children, and year after year, continues his attempts to grow vegetables in his garden.

DR. NANETTE FOUCHÈ
Joined the THM team in 2020
Dr. Fouchè received her medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and later earned her Advanced Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy Certification from TruBalance Healthcare in Toronto. Dr. Fouchè moved to Daysland, Alberta in 2008 where she began practicing rural medicine. Since then, she has worked in family medicine, urgent care and low-risk obstetrics. Most recently, she founded a medical spa in Brooks, specializing in women’s health and skin care. During her leisure time, you can find Dr. Fouchè on the golf course or cheering on her children at their various events and activities.

DR. INGEMAUD GERBER
Joined the THM team in 2017
Originally from South Africa, Dr. Gerber completed her training in 2005 and moved to Alberta in 2008, where she worked in Grande Cache doing rural family medicine for several years before making the move to Calgary. Dr. Gerber recently completed advanced training in functional medicine. Her mission is to ensure everyone she works with has the guidance and support they need to be truly healthy and well. She loves to show her patients the raw data about their health – compelling them to see what they need to work on, where they are improving, and how beneficial a healthy lifestyle can be, while keeping them motivated to make fitness a priority. Dr. Gerber spends many weekends exploring the city with her children, and enjoying the mountains hiking, cycling, camping, snowboarding and skiing.

DR. LORI GOHILL
Joined the THM team in 2021
Dr. Lori Gohill received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, and her medical degree from Dalhousie University. She has been practicing medicine for the past 23 years, including family practice, hospital care and operating room experience. Dr. Gohill is passionate about family medicine and enjoys delivering comprehensive care while getting to know her patients and their life stories. Dr. Gohill is the mom of two teenage boys, and an active board member for her sons’ swim club. When not at the pool, you can find her walking along Calgary’s river pathways, hiking and spending time near any body of water – thanks to her Maritime roots!

DR. ALLISON MACQUEEN
Joined the THM team in 2018
After completing medical school at the University of Alberta, Dr. MacQueen completed her residency at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario and her final month of residency in Lifford, Ireland. With her love of travel, Dr. MacQueen pursued her Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. She has participated in volunteer missions in Honduras with the Hackett Hemwall Foundation, and in Haiti and Peru with Canadian-based STIMMA (Short Term International Medical Missions Abroad). Dr. MacQueen is also a Certified Menopause Practitioner with the North American Menopause Society, and serves as INLIV’s in-house physician providing counselling and treatments on women’s health issues like hormone and menopause challenges, and procedures, including IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies and cervical polyp removals.

DR. JYL RADWELL
Joined the THM team in 2018
Dr. Radwell received her medical degree with distinction and her Certificant of the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) from the University of Saskatchewan. She achieved her Special Competency in Emergency Medicine (CCFPEM) designation from University of Alberta and spent two years of high-intensity medical work at the Royal Alexandra hospital emergency department. She then chose to move north, spending time as a locum physician in rural areas. Through her experience there, she recognized the specialized requirements for working in remote areas and attended the University of Calgary for her Family Practice Anesthesia certification. A lifelong adventurer, Dr. Radwell has woven her love of medicine and travel together. She has even worked as far away as New Zealand.

DR. RALPH STROTHER
Joined the THM team in 2014
Dr. Strother graduated from the University of Alberta Medical School (Phi Beta Kappa) in 1981 and his passion for sport led him to be a leader in the development of the fledgling specialty of Sport Medicine. In 1989 he was a Charter Recipient of a Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine. In 2016 he became a Charter Recipient of a Certificate of Added Competency in Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. As a Sport Medicine Specialist, Dr. Strother has acted as the designated coordinating team physician for numerous national teams including Volleyball, Badminton, Luge and Bobsled; a network physician for Nordic Jumping, Swimming, Downhill and Freestyle Skiing. He is a consulting physician for Professional Rodeo, the National Ballet of Canada, Alberta Ballet, and the Sport Canada High Performance Training Centre.

DR. RENEE WALKER
Joined the THM team in 2015
Dr. Walker hails from South Africa where she trained as an MD at the University of the Witwatersrand. She also holds a Diploma in Anaesthesiology. Dr. Walker gained experience in acute care while working in the UK in anaesthesiology and pediatric ICU for a year. After relocating to Canada, she settled into family practice in Prince Albert, where she practiced for 5 years and met her husband Richard. They travelled to Boston where she was on faculty at a Family Practice Residency affiliated with Harvard, Tufts and Boston University. Dr. Walker holds both the MRCGP (Member of Royal College UK) and ABFP (American Board of FP) designations. Dr. Walker has an active family life with three children participating in diverse sports such as Water Polo, Skiing, Soccer and Equestrian.
